So Precious... our new chicks!

Last weekend, we went on a lovely long drive out to Price Edward County to fetch these little ones! They are Bantam chicks - Old English Game, and Cochins. It has been so fun watching them; they are so quirky and cute.

The black & white ones, like these at the front of the crate, are all Cochins. The rest are the Old English Game chicks.

Any little sound has their attention.

The chicks were only 2 weeks old when we got them. In one week, we can already see the more defined feathers growing out, replacing the fluff, and little combs growing on some of their wee noggins.

Some were marked at birth with the green or red on their foreheads so the breeder could tell them apart, but the markings will grow out as they mature.

A friend told me I needed to do something creative with my time away from the city, so the other day I took a break from work to hike out to the waterfall on the Bruce Trail near our house. I've been meaning to photograph it ever since Colin showed it to me a few years ago. Thus, here is my first attempt. The last image shown is my favorite.

Infiltration

My photos are infiltrating the Niagara Region... :)
The Vineland Library features "Art On The Pillar" by a different local artist every month. This month (the month of March), they have 12 of my images on display! Only one of the images has been printed before, and most of the images have been shot in the last two years- so it's "new" stuff, and pretty exciting to show. Some of the images have been on this blog already, but here are two you haven't seen.

Oh yes, and all of the images at the library are for sale and are $75 or less. The two above are 8x12" framed to 11x14" for $65. If you do get a chance to stop by and check it out, let me know.

Jeremy & Audrey's Wedding - Bride's house tidbits

Just the other weekend, I had the honour of photographing this wedding along with Jeremy Kiers. What a great day it was! Here are some shots I did at the bride's house.

VW Stamp

Have you seen these stamps from Canada Post, issued in January? The Toronto photographer I do a lot of digital work for, Michael Mahovlich, shot the images of the VW van and kids on the dock. Of course that means I got to work on them as well. Quite fun, eh?!
