A Love..ly Couple Hours

Last Saturday afternoon, I had the pleasure of popping over to Jordan for 2hrs to assist our friend, Jeremy James Kiers, (click here to check out his blog) in photographing a wedding. It was so fun to be the "second shooter" and thus have extra time to explore details, interesting angles, and wait for a shot.. That's my style for sure! Let me know if you like the results. (it's as easy as clicking the little "like" button at the bottom!)

Both Jeremy & I tried for a while to shoot this book from different angles. I finally got what I was after!
Genuine happiness!
- I think this is one of my favorite kissing shots I've taken at a wedding, although not sure if I like it better in colour or not.

"Wedding Feelings 1" - The names on the organ buttons intrigued me...I particularly liked this one and the legible ones in the next...

"Wedding Feelings 2"  - They're a mixture of regal, trembling, and jubilant all at once!

The colour of the dresses was exquisite!
- Another shot that took some patient waiting and multiple attempts.
One of my favorites for sure!!

I'd just like to leave you with a great quote from a song I heard on the radio this week:

"It was in love I was created and in love is how I hope I die.."

Driving Home

Life is slowing down again to a regular pace at last... I have time to stop, and savor moments like this beautiful fog on the escarpment a couple days ago. I miss the weather of this area "on the mountain" since moving, though am I happy to be where I am now.

Yes, it's warmed a bit.. but I like it it! I was surprised to find that when I increased the saturation, the sky had a pink colour I hadn't noticed.

My Photo Studio

After doing a headshot earlier in the week, my equipment was still all set up in my new studio (otherwise known as our living room), so I called up a certain photogenic family to see if they'd like some impromptu photos done.

Last Month's Cuteness Winner

I had so much fun on this photo shoot! The shadow in this first photo makes me think of Peter Pan.

Fall Photo Sessions 4b - last post of this series

Near the end of our shoot, there happened to be a helicopter taking off from the property, and my husband had the great idea of creating this fun shot. I put in the background from a road trip to Letchworth State Park a few years ago. Coincidentally, I found out later on that the family had been to the same park only a few months before me!

Fall Photo Sessions 4

I came across this beautiful orchard while looking for a location to do this photo session. We did some photos of the teens first, while the dogs were left to themselves in the van. The mischievous pair got in a bit of trouble as they decided to practice their chewing skills, but did a fine job when it was their turn to shine. Well mostly...

Later on, we popped over to 13th Street Winery. What a nice place! I definitely recommend a stop there to check it out if you haven't done so already.
You can look them up on the web here: 13th Street Winery

Thanks for a fun photo session guys! (p.s. the next post will have the last part of our shoot... the best part...)

Fall Photo Sessions 3

This fall I donated a photo session to the Grimsby Life Center's silent auction, and as a result got to meet this lovely family. This was a chilly, chilly day, but it was great taking photos with them on their beautiful property!
