Snowshoeing Sights

Last week my husband & I were privileged to go up to the family cottage for a few days with some friends. Colin led us on the adventure of a 5hr-long snowshoeing trek which included a campfire lunch in the snow. 

I held up the group a bit with my picture-taking along the way...

A Heritage Home Christmas

I finally finished decorating my house for Christmas!
Just kidding... The following shots are from the Holiday House Tour mentioned in my last post. If you missed the tour, you will have to go next year, but I will share a taste of it with you for now. The house - owned and decorated by my sister-in-laws and their minions - was so gorgeous, I had to take some photos. I hope you're inspired!

This is the first chance I've had to do photos of this family as a whole. I photographed the littlest one back in June...

... but Thanksgiving weekend we drove out to the bush for a shoot of the whole family.

Battered

This past summer we were in Newfoundland on our honeymoon, and we wandered through a quaint area of St. John's called "The Battery." This part of the harbour edge had been damaged by prior winter storms, and lies along a path that leads to Signal Hill. Part of the trail goes right across a lady's front porch.

Little Darlings

Last Friday afternoon, I also had the chance to photo my little niece & nephew. It's been way too long since I last "properly" photographed them - last fall to be exact. They have changed so much in one year, but I think they've only increased in cuteness!

   

 

Moyer's Field

This field lies just up the road from our house. In the winter we skied across it and I have admired it many, many times...

...This is my first attempt to capture the beautiful way it rolls up and down across the landscape.
