A Heritage Home Christmas
I finally finished decorating my house for Christmas!
Just kidding... The following shots are from the Holiday House Tour mentioned in my last post. If you missed the tour, you will have to go next year, but I will share a taste of it with you for now. The house - owned and decorated by my sister-in-laws and their minions - was so gorgeous, I had to take some photos. I hope you're inspired!

Upcoming - this weekend
I haven't posted in a while... and what has been keeping me busy you wonder? Well, one thing has been getting some of my Newfoundland pictures ready for showing/selling at the Homes of Distinction Home Tour this weekend.
If you're interested in more info or going on the tour yourself, please go to http://nlchometour.com/. Tickets are $25
"The 2010 Homes of Distinction Holiday Home Tour presents seven incredible tour locations including Lakeside B&B cottages, a church erected in 1841 by Loyalists, and seven homes ranging in style from Historic, French Country to Contemporary. Each tour location is artistically decorated by uniquely diverse local designers who have generously donated their products, talent and time."All proceeds to benefit the Niagara Life Centre. Together
This is the first chance I've had to do photos of this family as a whole. I photographed the littlest one back in June...
... but Thanksgiving weekend we drove out to the bush for a shoot of the whole family.

Battered
This past summer we were in Newfoundland on our honeymoon, and we wandered through a quaint area of St. John's called "The Battery." This part of the harbour edge had been damaged by prior winter storms, and lies along a path that leads to Signal Hill. Part of the trail goes right across a lady's front porch.

Little Darlings
Last Friday afternoon, I also had the chance to photo my little niece & nephew. It's been way too long since I last "properly" photographed them - last fall to be exact. They have changed so much in one year, but I think they've only increased in cuteness!

By The Sea
Driving through Newfoundland, we saw a lot of little fishing sheds like this one. I wonder how many have disappeared since Hurricane Igor... |

Beginnings
After getting complaints of my website not being updated often enough... and while I save sufficient money to get my website re-designed so it's not such a huge pain to update it...
I have decided to begin a photo blog to try to share my photos with interested people more frequently.
It's a bit of an experiment for me, but hopefully it develops into something you, my viewers, will enjoy!
Thanks for checking this out.
